Simple parametric element

Hi guys. I want to make a simple kitchen element that is made of 5 parts. These parts should have fixed thicknesses that don’t change if I scale the element. I’m attaching the sample element so it would be easer to understand.

The element should be parametric so I tried to fix scale and location by constraints, but it did not work for me.

There are different attempts to do this like for example using simple faces and giving them thickness via an solidify modifier and rounding edges via the bevel modifier and so forth… like for example this one:

…with some interesting tricks… (also in Part 2…).

And also using drivers with simple expressions (no example… )… up to complete addons like for example ArchiMesh ( and also ArchiPack… now paid… )…

At this site:

there was/is ( now Tutorials via monthly supscription… ?? ) a PDF Blender 2.8 Parametric Modeling for 15$ (? ) with a bit of preview how this is done and a course ($49 ?) Lesson-01 Understanding-parametric-modeling…blender

…and for example one of the first nodes using addons…

…aaannndd…

:drum:

of course now Geometry Nodes…
