Simple text into a textured road sign?

Hi!

Recently, I got myself wondering, how I could make a text into a road sign that would look like actually painted on an asphalt surface.

Example:

Since I have no knowledge about any Asian languages:

Result:

段差
アリ

And the result above, I’d like to be able to recreate with a texture that could resemble signs you can find on roads, parking lots etc.

Would anyone know how to go about it?

Hey, if you want to bake your text on an object, you could do something like this:

PLEASE someone… this doesn’t really mean Step Ants:crazy_face:

…or really watch your steps ants crossing ?? Because they are creatures too and maybe because of shinto or buddhism… everything has it’s ghost/soul/god… ???

Auto-translators are notoriously bad at English/Japanese, for me I just get “steps”, which I would translate mentally as “crossing” or “cross here”

Hmmm …( i want to know this now… so going off topic on purpose :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: ) funny thing looking up ants here: Jisho… found for ants the other form shows exactly this…

or ari
where アis a
and リ is ri

… ahhh… maybe this

It’s a contraction of the verb あります (arimasu), which means to be or to exist.

from:

and yes:

so then somethign like: step to be

or: Step here !

So… @joseph is absolutly right… :bowing_man:
