Since I started using Video Editor, I can't render the actual 3D scene

All that comes up in the render window instantly is a frame from the video.

I guess the ‘focus’ of the rendering has shifted from 3D to Video - so how do I get it back to 3D?

Thanks!

In Blender you have essentially three “steps” that contribute to the final image:

  • Renderer
  • Compositor
  • Sequencer

Those are evaluated from the bottom up - in other words: If you have e. g. an image sequence in the sequencer, it will override your render result. To stop that, you will need to disable the sequencer under Render > Post-Processing:

That’s great! Thanks very much!
