is it possible to animate a single verticie in a mesh? so that i can animate basically a line of verticies to be a snake? i should knwo this afte rusing blender this long…

yes, you can do that with vertex keys. Vertex keys comes in two types. Normal vertex keys and Relative Vertex keys. Here’s an example of RVK from Dave Weese http://www.blendedplanet.com/tutors/bottle/bottle.htm

you dont jsut press i to lock and rotate… do you?
