Skin Modifier test

[ WIP ] after seeing creature modeling for production i decided to make my own creature entirely with the skin modifier to see how far I can go… i really recommend this DVD i learn a lot., hope you like it.

The skin modifier is a fantastic tool when you manage to avoid some of its problem when the topology decide to go nuts for just moving a point of 1millimeter :wink:

Impressive use of skin modifier!
Then, you probably cleaned it a bit. Well done.
Then what follows? A multires sculpting probably. But, will it work there? About the performance I mean. It looks heavy and this is OK, it had to be so. But… you may face a dead end. It’s not quite predicable.

I’m a fan of subdivision modeling is the method I will use, traditional modeling, and yes I did a little cleaning
