Sky Island

This work was created to implement a newly learned workflow.
It took me a lot of time to build my ideal world view based on references, but I learned a lot.
(To be honest, I should have used the actual landscape as a reference for my work instead of trying to create an original worldview…)

Software used
Blender 3.3
Flip Fluids (Blender Addon)
Botaniq (Blender Addon)
Rizom UV
Adobe Substance 3D Painter
Topaz Video AI
Adobe After Effects
Adobe Premiere Pro

Thank you very much!
The water was simulated using the “Flip Fluids” add-on!

I divided the project by cuts and calculated only what I needed, but it took 10 hours for baking and 20 hours for rendering.

I created all the models except for the plants, which I think took over 50 hours including fine tuning…
Even the rock part of the island had to be reworked many times, but more than that, modeling the house was a real pain!

Although not detailed, I have uploaded a new time-lapse video of the project from layout to completion. Please take a look if you like.

Yes, fluid simulation is pretty resource heavy  Well done.

I really love it, very well done! It has the feel of those modelling boards, I used to have some train scenes from my childhood
I always appreciate a lot of details put in a smaller enclosed scene.

Oh, and the water looks really amazing indeed!
