Hey, I would like to use some Skymaps, but the links on the sticky are all broken :S
I can’t find any with google, so where do you people get yours?
Also, while I’m here, how do you go about using skymaps? I assume it involves putting your scene inside a sphere and mapping the texture to it …

No you silly.
Skymaps should imported as an image-texture for the world settings.
Then mapped to ‘Hori’, and depending the type of skymap set to ‘Angmap’, ‘Sphere’ or ‘Tube’…
… or something like that.
