Slope Leather Lounge Chair

I had an art test for a job lately (sadly I did not get an interview). I had 7 days to create and texture a West Elm leather slope lounge chair, and to make a scene showing the model. To be honest it’s not a chair I particularly like the look of - to me it’s very dated and reminds me of the old 1960’s furniture in my university stores.

This was my first use of Substance Painter - it’s pretty cool. Now I have used SP a little more, there are some things I’d do differently, and I think the polycount could have been reduced a fair bit too. I’m hoping they might share the feedback from their art team to see what to improve for next time.

Some tidy details on the seams, did you use particles for the small threads/fibres poking out?

Thanks - the stitches were done using a stich brush in substance. It’s pretty cool you can just paint them on and it affects the normals etc. The only awkward part is that the brush doesn’t snap and if you rotate the camera it resets, so lining it up could be tricky in some areas.
