Slow viewport, asset browser won't load blender 4.3.2 MAC OS Intel

MAC OS 15.3 (24D60)
40 GB 2133 MHz DDR4
AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB
3.6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9

The fan runs hot as well the app being too slow to use.

The problems started after I installed some addons 2 days ago. Clean Panels, Easy Paralllax, Trees, Synchronize Workspaces, Terra Blend.

Clean Panels seemed to be the problem and I don’t think sychronize work spaces helped. I turned them off and things looked OK… for a short time then went back to the problems.

I have tried reloading Bender, turning off the new addons, deleteing the path files for the assetts and adding them back in. I am still new to Blender so I’m not sure what else to do so any help is welcome. The assetts are on a different drive but Blender has no problem accessing that drive to open files etc.

So frustrating I can’t work at all and spend all day trying to get it working !

Have you tried reinstalling Blender?
This can fix the issues.

There are a lot of guides on how to manage and use your assets.
If it’s not a problem with the system, please refer to the manual and video materials

※ Unless it’s just a problem you don’t know how to use, you can try factory reset to fix blender’s problem. In this case, all the settings will disappear.
Back up and run the settings.

I did install over the current copy. That didn’t work but I thought ti was worth a try before starting over from zero.

It did work for a little while after I shut off Clean Panels so I think it might be something else. I am at the point where I think your plan to uninstall and start over might be the quickest route to fixing it. I thought it might be my computer but I use a lot of heavy prorgams and everything else works really well. It’s just Blender.

I just opened Blender and it’s working normally again! Something is up!

You don’t have to worry if it’s simply a problem of not finding a path, because it could be a system error.

However, it would be better to check the storage device just in case.
There are free programs to check the condition of the storage device.

This might not last as a solution but I noticed that bagapie assets were trying to load (I don’t have bought assets from them yet) and might be causing the slowdown and asset browers issues so I deleted them from the file paths and… even clean panels works well so far! Maybe I can get back to work! Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
