I had the pleasure of creating this piece as a memento for the owner of this store who retired this year. So many of these small rural stores that go completely unnoticed by most of us provide such a deep source of constancy, convenience, and personality to the communities they serve, and hopefully this one will continue to do so even as it transitions to somebody else.
Created in Blender and rendered in EEVEE, I leaned heavily into this great tutorial to achieve the water-color look to the textures:
I then added the sky, the dog, and paper texture in photoshop, and did some post-processing there as well. I hope you like it!
