im modelling a car and the rear light which is created out of a curve with edge loops and bevel is ugly and uneven. ive tried lining up the coordinates but thats not working. what would be the best way to do this.
You could use smooth(w -> o) or relax(w -> x) if you have ‘Relax’ add-on enabled in preferences(ctrl+alt+u) Add-ons tab. It is however better to think of these things while modeling. You could have had fewer polygons and single edge loops placed where the rounded shapes are in a way so that bevel operations would get the shape you need if that makes any sense.
As said upper, use relax ( looptools addon ), well can allready select each horizontal edges and align them … ( select one horizontal edges, key s ( scale ), z, and then 0.
But honestly, with so much polygons, you are really complicate your life … , use subdivision surface and only use the loop needed for control the curvature. With a so dense meshes, any errors will be seen when using the subdivision surface and even be really complicate to correct then .
