Snap Object to another Object - Not working

I want to do exactly what the dude in that video does:

Snap Objects to Other Objects - Blender 3 - Quick Tips

However Blender has changed it and none of the available options actually do snap like in this video! It all does the same and looks not good

It’s certainly working in 4.1 and 4.2.

did you check if your rotation and scale are set to 1?
