I’d like to present my work that positioned me on the 3rd place (in authors’ clasification) in just closed voting for “RebusFarm Open 3D Award”
This was made in Blender and rendered with V-Ray-2-Blender solution (developed by Andrey Izrantsev).
(There are some people that don’t believie me when I say such tool exists) …
I had a great time working on this and was happy being able to play with the most cool V-Ray features: proxies, smoke, etc from inside of Blender.
Hope you like the effect!
PS. Need to clarify, it was submitted in “Architecture still” category and there it took 5th position - after two other authors…
It looks nice, but I think the lighting is off a bit. The shadows are too sharp - in such foggy conditions the lighting would be much more diffuse. Then the snow could use some tweaking of its material - specularity, bump, some SSS maybe. I think the shadows should be more blueish. Lastly the tip of the mountain is pretty low poly The rest is really nice, especially the parts partially covered with snow.
