This picture was put together while developing a snow shader. I wanted to create a reasonable set up without using microdisplacements, but in the end felt I had to go that way to get the right fluffy fresh snow look. The geometry of the snow is sculpted to show some interaction with the other assets. The wooden railway ties given a wet look to suggest that some snow had melted.
