Not sure if this is where I should post this, but does Blender allow Soft Bodies to emit particles?
Yes, softbodies can emit particles. However, they’ll only emit from the softbody’s original position (even if you bake the softbody animation, apparently), so it would be better to parent an emitter to the softbody. Though, come to think of it, I guess the parented object would stay at the original position also. Oh well. You could animate an emitter to follow the softbody.
You mean to say that there is no way to get any kind of object that emits particles to follow a soft body’s motion besides manually animating some? I would hate to have to manually animate the several hundred thousand to several million particle emitters. LOL
You could bake the softbody and then vertex parent the emitter?
