Solid mode render of smoke simulation?

Hello

Newbie question - I created a smoke simulation in Blender 2.8 which has been cached. For my current task I would like to render out the animation the way it looks in the solid view, rather than the Evee. Any way to accomplish this? I tried googling and fiddling with settings, rendering with workbench etc, but it either renders blank or transparent or with just bounding boxes.

Nothing? So maybe making 250 screenshots and stitching them to an animation, huh? Doesn’t feel very modern though

You can do a viewport render of workbench, but what you should do is modify the shader to achieve the same result playing with the density value, with lighting configuration, etc…

Light and shadows does A LOT with smoke.

Cheers!
