[SOLVED] Can't seem to bake my high poly mesh information onto my low

https://i.imgur.com/950MDSz.jpg
I’m getting back into prop creation for real time engines and I’ve baked the high poly trunk mesh just fine but I cannot seem to bake the information from these high poly plugs (which I probably used very wrong…) to my low poly travel trunk mesh.

Thus far I have tried:

  • baking in xNormal
  • fixing normal directions
  • applying scale
  • increasing baked image resolution

To be honest I’m pretty stumped on this one but I can’t help but think there’s something funny going on with these plugs, I’ve not used them before (I’ve been using meshmachin3). Any help is very appreciated

Sometimes Apply Modifiers… Remove Any Doubles…And Make Sure It’s A Solid Mesh… No Holes or An opening  If Your Using 2.8 Check Some Tutorials About Baking Again  Sometimes It’s Just Some Small Things That We’ve Missed

Oh dear, I had about 9000 doubles XD It really is those little things you miss haha, THANKYOU!

I Used To Do Retopo But If Your Model Is Complicated And Less Squares… Decimate Modifiers Will Do Just Fine For Low Poly

Oh I love decimate modifiers, I’ve got this photogrammetry project I did and it’s beautiful for them so I have all these seashells that just had lower poly meshes and good decimation maps. Might be doing that workflow again to revisit some old work
