[SOLVED] Triangles in AO bake help!

Any one have any idea what causes the triangles when baking AO like in the image below (the mesh is pure quads)?

it looks like you need to recalculate normals. in edit mode, select all, and press ctrl N, then click in the 3D view to finalize ( in version 2.5 ) . then re-unwrap.

Thanks, but Oh were it that easy. I have subsurf on, so norms are good (I’d see a mess instantly otherwise) and I did recalculate norms before posting just for check… no go… Ughh

AHHH – I got it… it seems like it happens if the mirror modifier is enabled during baking
