Someone tell me how this timelapse animation was created?

Really cool timelapse animation created in Maya, with rendering in Blender.
Just wondering how it was done.

The video description reads: “Modeling and Animation(morph of modeling process and finish anime) in Maya, Shading and Rendering in Blender.”
Some of the moves look more like brute force animation than actual modeling, like manipulated to look like modeling.

In Maya you can keep your complete (object based) history.
There is probably a way to interpolate between each stored history entry in chronological order and then dump it into an alembic cache to create the timelapse.
They can then be further animated (moved around).
