Something I never noticed before....

I’ve never noticed this before because I don’t really pay attention to the console. When starting up Blender, I see this:

‘import site’ failed; use -v for traceback
Checking for installed Python… No installed Python found
Only built-in modules are available. Some scripts may not run.
Continuing happily

Ok, I’m reassured by the last bit, but is there any reason to worry about the first three? I’m running Windows, btw. (Out of necessity, not by choice.)

The errors are caused by not having python installed, or not having the env variable set up correctly. Built in scripts and modules should work fine, but if you want to try any additional python scripts, they may not work.

If you choose to install python, get 2.4x version, not the latest.
