Hmmm … extra noise or just very low samples (or even special material shader ???) ??.. Very interesting that this airbrushed look (?) can also be done in blender…
A pure model or wireframe image would be nice… and some hints about the setup (you don’t have to tell all you secrets )

Most of what I do is pretty basic from the technical point of view.
The “airbrushed” look comes from the combination of materials and strategically positioned lights.
The graininess is due to post-processing in another software called Topaz Studio 2, however you can achieve a similar effect in other software and even Blender’s own compositing tools.
Below is the wireframe , a render without post and my super simple metallic pipe material.
