We are looking for an appropriate libre licensed solution to provide an analogue to what source control management tools like Git do for software developers, but for artists since standard source control management tools are not optimal for this kind of work.
Specifically, we need a solution for modellers and other artists to track revisions, organize, browse, upload, and so on. Sometimes the term “digital or media asset management” is used for this.
The closest I’ve been able to come to is AlienBrain, but it is proprietary.
