Space Invasion

I’ve been working on this project for way too long…
It’s my first time modelling this kind of landscape and using view layers, and I think I learned a lot.
For the windows and walls of the buildings I used the ‘lazy’ method, tracing over images with the knife tool and extruding parts. It works surprisingly well for how easy it is to do.
Edited in Darktable and GIMP.

Nice piece of art. Wow. But never stay too long working on a project. Just keep going to the next. Give your creativity some room. The lazy or the hard way doesn’t matter, for me it’s the result that counts.

Thanks
Definitely agree it’s the result that counts, most of what took so long on this was actually just getting all the colours and layout right, so not strictly necessary but I don’t regret it.

Thank you!

yeah, I’m not really sure why I went with that title

Thanks! The spaceship was actually the easy part, I made it in a few minutes a year or so ago after modelling a set of greebles. The landscape though, that took forever…
