Space Ship For Game Needs C&C

Well im making a game using unity game engine ( www.otee.dk ) very cool engine. I have made this ship and need some suggestions. It just seems like it needs some thing more put I cant put my finger on it. The engine thrust im not making until it’s in the engine, it comes out of a slit in the back of the wing. I dont know if I am going to make a view port for the pilot because the game is played 3rd person and I have the excuse of the pilot using a nav system and not requiring to look out. Ignore the torpedo tubes and rail guns they arent positioned right or textured. The player also gets to choose ship color so I posted these 2 as an example.
Any comments welcome.

I put them on a friends server from some reason I cant post jpeg’s?

51 views and no reply? Come on people!

I’m a little confused by the configuration of the pictures is this part of the ship or the whole thing.

The texturing looks okay to me, but i’m thinking windows somewhere. Greebles without purpose don’t always work for me. Gun turrets, windows, doors, wires…???

Looking much better then before!! Could you give us a few more angles in which to get a better look of it all around? There are a few shadows hiding some stuff.

I could unerstand that it’s not a conventional looking ship. So your looking at a small fighter single pilot sits in middle peice, so there would only be 1 window but like I said the game is played in 3rd person so I dont know if the pilot even needs a window. I do agree that I could add some wires/tubes going though the indents (Greebles is that what you calle them?) I thnk I am going to add some thing signalizing that there is a canopy that opens. Khnum you have been a great help, I think it needs some thing more wires/tubes will help but any thing else?

Ill get the bottom done today and show you that as well.

Still needs some kind of window for the pilot to see out of. You might also apply a shade of the ship color over your greeble texture just to incorporate those areas a bit better. Also having the weapons a random color is just odd to me, makes them look like toys instead of weapons. Definitely coming along though

yeah they arent done yet, they are random colors just for reference… and you dont get to pick the color of them… just the ship. I think im going to add some tubes in the big greebles and ill see what I can do about the pilot viewing area. I may not do a window, but I will figure out some thing signalizing a pilot is there. Thanks for you suggestions keep 'em coming! I really want to finish this one so I can move on to my next ship!

Well I Put on a door thing so you have some perspective on size, it’s just big enough for one person to squeeze in. I dont really have time to make more details on the indents if I did have time I would like to make some tubes going across from one side to the other but I have to start making more ships. This is for a game and it’s my first game and I want a lot of ships and if I ever want to finish this in my lifetime I need to start rolling on it. I am in high school and it’s hard to make time for making a game and homework! Thanks for all your help every one I will post my next ship as soon as possible. If any one wants to give me a hand give me a holla at [email protected] or in evening wanna chat aim: treeburners500

Well I have pretty much re-made the ship I put in a window and took out some greebles. This is my first ship and has been more or less a test. They should just keep getting better from here. Although I am probably not going to mess around with it much more any suggestions for my next creations would be great!

here is a pic
