Lighting?

Yes…what about it?

Very nice. Good work.

Hey thats pretty neat looking. I don’t know what the technical term is but the lines that go horizontal, I think if you turn up the samples on your spot light it should go away. But then again I could be totally wrong. :o Anyway looks cool.
Just a suggestion, but you could add a light source down at the end of the tunnel, and why is there a light fixture on the cieling, but the light is not on. ?? Just throwing some ideas at ya. Keep up the good work.

The light fixture is there because…uh…dante takes the light fixture out of the picture Anyways…

I know that there are some AA problems that are made even worse by the motion blur (motion blur that you can’t even really see, but even when I uncheck the Motion Blur button, blender STILL blurs the pic… :< )

I will turn up the samples on the lights as well. It isn’t detailed enough for my taste yet but I hope to fix that soon. Assuming that I keep coming up with details to put in there…

thanks for the crits thus far

dante

great work!

the only thing that bothers me is that the cabin of the ship looks like a chair …but that’s not that bad

I think you should use Texture for walls.

Nice Job

[a]drien.

Yeah I know what you mean… I want to texture it but I’m not sure what kind of texture to use…

dante

a small update. More crits to follow I hope

Looks great. and if you want to dirty up the walls a bit, try bump mapping. This gives your 2D textures the illusion of 3Dness, and is controlled mostly by the ‘nor’ button on the far right in materials, along with the ‘nor’ slider in roughly the same location.

There is a SLIGHT bumpmap on there already. You would only notice it if you had a before/after comparison.
Thanks for the crits

dante

very cool

  1. the main “cockpit” part is good, but it doesnt fit the rest of the style of the… er… flying… deeley…

  2. ongine glow would top this great image off.

Yes, I know there are some jaggies around the back ends of the engines. If anyone knows why this is and how to fix it, please let me know because I rendered this with 16 AA.

dante

muuuch better. ummm, not sure about the jaggies, id just run the blur tool over it in photoshop.

the cockpit part still looks out of place to me, but the rest of the picture is totally bitchin!
