It hints at the power of blender but still needs a lot of work, but this is my experimenting. Hopefully i can do something more realistic.

Tips on how i could make it better would be welcomed.

Very good. Read up on environment maps. They make a huge difference.skip to the :42 mark

I think the fire is burning too fast. A slow-motion burning fire could give us a sense of a huge spaceship.
