Spread noise

I’m looking for a way to recreate the ‘spread noise’ effect from Gimp in Blender.
It basically moves pixels around randomly, so only edges get noise.

Can anyone help me get started?

Here is an example:

Without spread noise

With spread noise

I am looking for something similar. For when i create masks procedural-ly based on object data. I need a way to add noise just at the high contrast edge to add variation.

This would be of huge help.

There is a way to use noise (not perfect)

Nice… i wonder why yours has this “edge” at the bottom right … (me using 3.6.10) …??

This is a false effect.
The effect looks similar to Motion blur. (blender 4.1.1)

This configuration shows the desired results.
