Stanley Cup model bump Map Help

I’ve downloaded the Stanley cup model from turbosquid. It comes with a bump map for the names on the cup but I cannot seem to get it to fit on the cup right. Anyone have some suggestions.

Again is the mapping correct? Can you post screen shots, or give us some more info?

This is the model with the bump map. The only thing that i’ve changed is the projection from flat to tube. I’m am really new to blender and not sure if i’m missing something. I’m sure I am. I’ve tried to change the mapping size and offset but still can’t seem to get it to fit the model. I can see that the bump map need to be repeated around the cup too.

Thanks

I can’t tell exactly whats going on, but I’m pretty sure you are going to want to uv-unwrap the model. It may be unwrapped already, to find out go into edit mode and hit CTRL-A to select all. Now split your window and switch this viewport to UV image editor. If you have UV islands then the model is unwrapped, if it is one big square you will need to cut some seams and unwrap. Check on that and let us know.

This is what I get. So I guess that it is unwrapped. I guess it’s time to do some reading on how to work with uv maps then so I can apply the bump map.

Looks like it is unwrapped! Try simply setting the mapping to UV instead of generated on the texture, and Flat projection.
