Star Beast Alien

original painting

Star Beast was an original title for the 1979 sci-fi horror film Alien. The titular alien creature came through several redesign phases made by different artists. This version was one of the looks for the beast proposed by Swiss artist H. R. Giger. I was always curious how some of the unused alien versions would look like on the screen. I’ve decided to sculpt and 3D print a miniature based on one of these original paintings. I am huge Alien and Giger fan so I really enjoyed working on this. I hope you like the result

The one with sensual lips? I like that one, will definitely try to sculpt it sometime soon.

Thank you for featuring me!

Aye yes. That one.

I always thought the classical sphinx like aspect of it was really fascinating and he was obviously trying to take it in new and radical directions. Perhaps too radical for that time though with how troubled that production already was.
