For this project, I challenged myself to create a weapon that was a completely original design, but also looks like it came out of the Star Wars universe. To achieve this look, I studied the blasters of Star Wars and took note of some of the reoccurring elements and themes, such as the exaggerated scopes, unique barrels, and general WW2 aesthetic.
I always have a hard time figuring out how to display my models in exciting ways - for this project, to make things more interesting, I decided to render an animation of the blaster on an actual rotating turntable, as though it’s being displayed somewhere.
