Steampunk Airship – From Concept to Final Render

:slightly_smiling_face:
Hey Family, Today I’m sharing a steampunk airship I’ve been working on. I really enjoyed every step of the process, and I hope you’ll like the final result!

I started by gathering references on Pinterest to explore different design directions.

At first, I hesitated between using a balloon or going for a pure flying machine with engines and wings. This led me to create an initial version based on that idea.

Later on, I decided to push the concept further. I thought a large balloon could add more character and readability, so I redesigned the upper part with a massive airship balloon, added engines, and introduced more pipes to enhance the steampunk aesthetic.

After modeling, I moved on to UV unwrapping and texturing in Substance Painter. I wanted something a bit unique, so I incorporated subtle Egyptian-inspired elements — just to give it a creative twist.

Finally, I rendered the scene in Blender.

Here you can view the 3D model.

Feedback is welcome!

Did you create the textures yourself, or are they procedurally generated?

Thank you Georgeart

No, they are not procedurally generated. I used PBR textures with dynamic masks from Substance Painter.

Nice design, skillfuly created.
