Step back, it’s a B1-S0N
My entry for a weekly challenge, where the theme was “Technology meets Nature”
With this work I tried to tackle a topic that I’ve barely scratched before, Hard Surface modeling. I’m not very good at it yet, so it resulted in a lot of headaches/headscratches, but I somehow managed to take a first step !
I tried to do as much as I could of the Bison, on which I spent way too much time…
I modeled it all except the legs, which are modified assets from Reallusion and the tail which is from an Ian Hubert kit.
Zoomed view on the Bison
I wanted to go with a bit of a Simon Stalenhag vibe looking with this render, with a “realistic everyday scifi”, not sure if I nailed it.
Looking back, maybe I should have gone with a different lens to compress the depth a bit more and give more intensity to the duo father+kid / bison.
Composite view
Would be very glad to have constructive feedback !!
