Stewart Gilligan Griffin

Hey guys and gals…
I had to take a break form all the other stuff I’ve been working on (tinkering with is more accurate, haven’t had a lot of time to do any serious modeling).
So I was sitting around trying to figure out an easy, quick project I could do - then it hit me. I’ve never seen a good 3D version of any of the Family Guy characters. All of the marketing stuff makes the characters look flat and lifeless (if you’ve ever seen the Stewie and Peter 3D figures you know what I mean).
So I’m going to try to do all of the main characters in 3D and make them look as much like the original 2D drawings as possible. So, here’s the first result…

He needs some tweaking yet, and I really want to get the hands (those bloody little sausage fingers) right. Beyond that I think he’s looking pretty convincing.

Like I said this is just a project for fun and to see if they could translate to 3D(better)…so no gripes please.
“Please rise…now sit on it. May the Fonz be with you…”

Well done. It indeed looks like Stewie. There are a couple of things that seem off to me. One is his ears, there is no distinguished front edge to the ear on the drawn character. The ears you have look a bit like the ears on Sherk. See if blending the front of the ears into the head works better. Also, to me his head shape is a little too pointed at the sides. Yours looks more like an American Football. Where as the drawn character looks more like a Rugby ball. At least that is the best way I can think to describe the shape.

I hope you animate him trying to take over the world.

like it was already mentioned, the head and ears…also his clothes look very flat…for somereason…make them more distinguised from eachother somehow…and stewie’s mouth is awkard too…might just be me though…
