Storytelling in Blender

Hi I’m new to the platform and would like to know what aspects of Blender I need to get familiar with in order to make animated videos with already created assets and characters.

Post moved to #general-forums

Just search for BasicTutorial on Youtube. Existing assets can be found in various places, but you’ll need to do a bit more assembly than with things like Daz3D.

Thanks for the advice, can you please recommend what aspects of Blender I should start with? I’m really brand new to the animations world.

Hi Bode.
I will be brief, but you can search for these keywords in google, which I will use here:
Step : 1 - Define your story (you need to write in movie scripting format).

Step: 2 - you can use Blender to import that script using Fountain Blender addon.
Fountain is a special format to identify scenes. Details here: https://fountain.io/
Read about the addon for blender, here: https://github.com/philippe-lavoie/blender-fountain-addon/wiki

It was recently upgraded for using it with blender 2.8

Get those 2 steps going in 2 weeks (or less) and I can continue to reply to this message.
Cheers.

Literally, search for a Basic Tutorials playlist on Youtube. Start with the first video and just watch. Things are that easy now, they just taake time. Just talking about it is pointless when you can just begin.

Thanks so much, I’ve almost finished the screenplay, and I’ll be getting to the second half soon. I hope.

Realize that you are “taking a sip from a fire-hose.” Don’t become frustrated when things turn out to be much more complicated than they first appeared.

MANY years ago, I said to my son “we’ll be writing games and making movies in no time.”

HA !
