Straighten UVs

Hello Blender Artists.

What’s the best way to straighten these islands?

The one on the left needs to be more like the one on the right. Especially around the circular cutout.

I’ve tried:

  • uv sculpt/relax
  • minimize stretch
  • manually selecting & straightening edge loops

I’s a simple model and I just want to finish the unwrapping process to see how far I can push the concept via texturing as opposed to modeling.

View from the top, use projection unwrap, pin the perimeter, then unwrap again to flatten the edges.
