My ongoing study of the female forms.
I can’t put my finger on it but some of the shapes feel wrong.
The distance between the breasts and the belly button feels too long to me. The whole upper body feels too long.
- moved the surface flesh closer to the bone landmarks (less fat)
- reduced breast size
- more booty
- lots of tweaks

That’s overall a great model, but still something’s not right.
When you can see the ribs under the skin, the person is skinny. She won’t have so much fat around the waist. And her belly still is too long. This little lovehandle at the waist should only be half of the height it is now, I think. And with ribs showing I guess the big trochanter (upper end of leg bone) would show more, also hip bones would protrude more along the belly.
Oh, and with most skinny persons the breast would not only shrink in size, but also change it - most of the fat would distribute to the sides, away from the middle, so it’s more like small pillows to the sides getting plainer to the sternum (am I still understandable?). People who lost weight previously do not lose skin the same way - so for somebody with a well endowed character the breast would be sagging, nipples looking downward.
Well, that is, if you want to create an anatomically correct model…

even the belly is too long… doesn’t mean it’s wrong. it could mean the lady is a tall woman. The overall of that body is quite good but like people say they can’t point at where something is wrong. I could point at one thing that is not right which is the bum, it doesn’t look right. You may want to look in what a woman’s bum look like.
I hope my opinion help out a lot.
@horusscope
nobody is wrong or right.
that’s because there are varying type of shape for women’s body especially with bum and breasts. If i recall from my memory, there are 6 different body for women regardless of heights. but there is no reference or naming for bum. There is only a sizing reference for breast… that’s pretty it.
good luck with your project. experimenting and gaining experiences are very important!
take care!

good luck on that.
take care!
Started new basemesh.
I see now what some of you guys were saying about the torso being too long. Maybe I should scale down the ribcage of the skeleton reference?
ok I hope I don’t get in trouble for this!
yeah anatomy is not some predefined law I would say. here is an example:
they look about the same body type but yet so much different.
also as you can see you can’t always go "regardless of heights "
best practice is to use references. many of us can draw from the mind but I say make it as your last choice.
Interesting
Initial sculpt.
This is absolutely in the uncanny valley. Which means it is very close, but something is off…
Personally, I find the missing shoulders very disturbing. And as I find, for me, I need the shoulders to get a feeling for the overall body shape.
The breasts still are off. It’s not this mound-shape that’s just further down on the body. Get yourself a little plastic bag, fill that with water and rest it against your torso. You’ll find that it does not form a mound, but…
oh scrap, scratch that, I’ll make a sketch.
Will be back later.
Wow, thank you so much. I appreciate your help
Try sculpting a torso without the breast. Then add breast as separate object. Once you are done shaping everything join them. Do the same thing with hips.
