Stylized low poly medieval character

Hey guys. Really wanted to do a longer project, so I decided to make a character. I used my own basemesh that I made some time ago to start from. The model is pretty rough now and lacks something on the chest, but it’s a start. I’m planning to try and paint some textures for this guy too so we’ll see how that goes.


I started texturing this guy. It’s my first time painting a model seriously so I’m very slow.



Any tips or tutorials on hand painting textures would be really appreciated.

A bit more progress. Painted the boots, pants and belt, but they still need detail.


Pretty much half way there. I’ll need to add more details to the boots and red fabric and maybe finish up the whole texture in photoshop, but I’ll save that for later.


Forgot to mention that the whole model is 2816 tris.

Finished the texturing for this guy.



Now it’s time to rig this guy and then I will make him a shield and a weapon and I will call it finished.

It’s an amazing work, but the back textures don’t look that good. It’s hard to find anything else bad in here.

Well I’m calling this done for now. I tried rigging this guy but it was just too hard. I just couldn’t handle all of those cloth pieces.


I learn’t alot of things about painting textures so that was good. I may continue this some time but now it’s time to make some more timelapses.
