Hi. I’m completely new to Blender so forgive me if this seems like a dumb question, but I’m using version 2.58 and can’t seem to find the “Subdivide” command in the tool shelf. For whatever reason, Blender doesn’t seem to have a manual for the 2.5 versions - I can either look at 2.4 or 2.6. Can someone help me out here? Thanks.
2.58 shouldn’t be too much different from 2.6. On 2.62, subdivide is on the pop-up menu you get when you hit ‘w’ in edit mode. Looks like it is also the third item down in the ‘add’ group on the Tools (‘t’ key) shelf, also in edit mode.

Actually, it just occurred to me that I haven’t checked to make sure I’m in edit mode. I just assumed it defaulted to it when I started it up. Kind of dumb, I know, but like I said, I’m really new to it and just trying to feel my way around.
