I want to subsurf the arms and legs of my model, but not the body… How do I do this?
When I click subsurf the whole model is subsurfed. This model is for a game, so I don’t know about making every little part as new models.
You can’t do a partial subsurf of an object, only on whole objects. Add extra geometry at places where you need it using the knife tool or loopcut tool.
If you don’t want to cut it, and only apply the subsurf modifier, you can detach the legs and arms by selecting them and hitting “P”, add subsurf, apply subsurf and join the objects again “CTRL+J”
