Just released a music video for my band all made in Blender. Pretty stoked with the results. Because of Blender’s functionality and usability the film just sort of created itsself with the initial idea of traveling down a road (situated in a huge ring)… whackyness ensued. Love to hear what you think.
The film took about 1.5 months to make, quite full on work but it didn’t feel that long! All by myself where I started with a ring to simulate the feel of moving down a continuous road and then items/objects on that to create the scenes. It was made with about 15 different blender sessions all with different things happening but the ring, bezier circle camera path were constant.
The cool thing was that Blender sort of influenced what happened, as in, the concept was there as a constant but because of the way lighting can be reflected and objects’s movements creating some anomolies this feed back into what I was doing. Even moving a camera too far in one direction resulted in falling inside the ring (end stroby blue scenes, (road penetration). Things like that can’t be planned so that was exciting. This was all in Blender Render, no Cycles. Cool to use Blender as something that influences itself in a feedback loop I reckon.
