Suggestions for self-paced learning to become a BFCT?

The instructions for becoming a trainer are less structured than those of Autodesk. There’s no exam, it’s just board review.
“Candidates should exhibit proficiency in each of these seven areas.” This is where things get tricky. Where does one go to get proficient? The Blender Cloud has training and seems to be the closest thing to an official training guide. There’s the manual, but from there on out, it’s all third-party. I don’t want to start on my quest to get certified when it’s just a gamble as far as what is going to turn out to be a good resource and what isn’t. I’m also trying to get AutoCAD certified. It’s not like I’ve got limitless time.
