A quick work of mine (it only took about half an hour to create, although it is a finished project for now), which I did after seeing a sunset render made in Terragen and I decided to try and create my own one in Blender :). I would love critiques/suggestions/tips on how it can be improved though. The only compositing outside of Blender was a contrast change using GIMP.
Nice atmousphere. I might have to try making this. How were the volumetrics done?
I created the volumetric look by using a simple combination of the mist setting in the world properties tab, and the atmosphere setting from the sun light source. The sky is also from the sun light source. Apart from the sun, the only other light source is a hemi light which I used to fill in the shadows.
