swapping node sockets by drag and drop not working

…for me at least or do u have to use a shortcut now…sorry if this is new expected behavior…don’t follow development closely, but It’s kinda annoying to now have connections on my nodes completely broken(on a a mix nodes for example) when I want top/bottom connections swapped.

It is now not possible anymore. I agree, sometimes it was really handy

This is intentional, but I’m as well not happy about it.
In the latest builds of blender you have the latest version of “Node Wrangler aka Nodes Efficiency Tools” add-on. There you have an option to swap outputs of selected nodes with alt-s shortcut. It works in many cases, but in some - where you have several inputs linked to the same output - it doesn’t always give desired result as all of the links get swapped.

ahhh :frowning: sigh…thanks for the info…why did they do it anyway…this way just adds time and annoyance to the production process

Now the way I do it using “Node Wrangler” is as follows:

I Shift - LMB drag through links to add reroutes, they get selected and all other nodes get unselected, then alt-S to swap and Ctrl-X to delete reroutes leaving the connection.

I do it when links go from nodes located far from the one they are linked to.
