Swapping UV Textures for larger images?


Still learning blender! Loving it though. i have a question about UV textures.

How do I replace a UV texture with a larger image in this situation.

So let’s say I’m using this image:

So. Let’s say I have my object unwrapped and mapped onto this texture… then I want to add 3 more head variants. So I leave the original centered, expand the canvas, and add 3 more heads. May I just swap out the UV texture so that all the previous mappings remain the same, but I can have a larger canvas to add more objects?

I tried this and by default it didn’t work.

Any tips or hints would be greatly appreciated! This community has been fantastically helpful thus far.

Why don’t you use separate Textures? One for each variation…
