You may have seen the W.I.P. thread for my 3D printed Tyrannosaurus skull model -
I’ve been holding off putting the model on sale at Shapeways until I had some product photos prepared. My photographer friend finally has some spare time so hopefull I’ll be getting the 3D printed models shot this week.
In the meantime I’ve been messing about with some 3D renders in the style of a stand mounted model.
Not aiming for high-end photorealism with these (I’m getting real photos anyway), my personal preference for 3D renders is a little more stylised and illustrative.
I don’t think we’ll be able to match the same lighting in the studio but the photos will be done blue-screen (or green-screen) so I’m hoping to drop in a similar red background.
