I bought a character model from a website (didn’t have time to model it myself), which included a t-shirt mesh. When I render this mesh, a strange ‘growth’ appears, and I can’t for the life of me figure out why - it doesn’t seem to be part of the mesh.
Looks like specular highlights on a faceted mesh to me.
In the edit buttons press the button marked ‘set smooth’, then in the material tab set the specularity to 0. If that doesn’t work, go into edit mode, select all vertices, then press ‘W’ and select ‘Remove Doubles’.
