Tatooine

Hey guys! This is my first attempt at creating a Desert on Tatooine. Any thoughts or feedback for improvement?

The image needs a more clear focal point, something should stand out. I like the Dunes

Thank you sir very much! I really appreciate that!

Yes I actually used procedural textures built within blender to make the sand.

I used a Wave Texture to make the waves for the sand, but I only wanted it to affect certain areas of the terrain, so I used a Gradiant Texture and a Color Ramp to control how much of the sand I wanted to have waves, then combined it with a Mix Node, and fed it through a Bump Node.

I also fed the Texture through a Math Node and connected it into the Displacement.

Also in response to alanplanes15, I will think about what you said.

Thank you both very much!

nice shot
to add more effects may be experiment with some new micro displacement

happy cl

Hey guys! I did some more work on my Tatooine Shot. I added Luke Skywalker to the scene by having him overlook the homestead out in the dunes with his rifle handy. I also added a sky to the background to give it a more effect. I hope my changes are better.

Please let me know if there’s anything else I can do to improve it.

And it’s nice to see u put some more blue into the sky because a lot of orangey browns need the complimentary colour of blue

I started an analog painting that eventually got a second sun. So suddenly it’s Tatooine. Yellow/orange sky so the vegetation had to be in purple/blues.
