Teach me to make a specific shaped hole

Hello,

I am very new to blender and I’m having a hard time figuring out a specific thing. I figured out how to cut holes in shapes by using boolean difference modifiers. I am trying to cut a hole in a rectangle that would fit this model:

Basically I want to be able to store these barricades in a flat rectangle and I want to be able cut a hole that will fit them. I am sure that many people out there could simply do this for me, but what I really want is someone who can teach me to do it myself and I am willing to pay for this service. Please let me know if you are able to help me and how much you would want for the job.

Thank you,
Daniel

Welcome :tada:

But first: what you say is impossible…

  • store a 3D object in a 2d rectangle ??
  • cut a hole that will fit them (the stored models ?? where in ??)

…so you have to elaborate this it bit more precise…

If you want to make a pedestral for this barikades (like the remixes on thingy) then you might just add a cuboid to your liking.
