This is my model of a modified thinline cherry burst Telecaster. My dream guitar! I’m calling it done at this point, but i know it could always be tweaked more. Anyway, it’s my first time UV mapping and it was a lot of fun! Enjoy!
I’d say you did good!
Thanks! Maybe the next time I have nothing to do I’ll work on adding some little details like scratches, etc. I guess I’d make a second uv map with scratches and then use the ‘normal’ influence?
nice guitar, your modelling is great (i’ve modelled a guitar in the past), you have the right idea with the reflections, you just need to refer to some photos to get it right.
Nice Telecaster.
Very nice indeed.
Thanks! Although it’s a slightly different guitar, I was trying to get it similar to this photo:
Mine’s a bit darker, but I tried to get those nice reflections in the lacquer.
Nice video kthornbloom , the modeling is good. Suprising that there is no loud rock n roll music on the video!
The string sizes are way to simmilar.
The fretboard, i think, shouldn’t be flat.
And yes, the materials are unnaturally perfect, needs those scratches and stuff…
Is this BI? Looks like it. Try luxrender.
Also, give it something more interesting to reflect.
Apart from these little nuances, this is awesome.
