Hey everyone,
I’m Darko (aka DarMar), and after 10 years of solo work, I’ve finally finished a project that took over my life: INSIDE44 — a 544-page blend of comic storytelling and sci-fi world-building.
Here’s the thing — without Blender, a massive chunk of this would never have been possible.
For the past 6 years, Blender has been my go-to tool for designing vehicles, props, environments, and full compositions. I’m also an avid supporter of the Blender community and have purchased dozens of add-ons over the years — they were essential to building the final designs and storytelling layouts.
From blockouts to renders, Blender gave me the flexibility and control to do everything solo — no team, no AI, no studio. Just me and a lot of late nights here in Serbia.
Along the way, I learned a lot about persistence, burnout, and how rejection can fuel something amazing if you let it. I even made a full-length (1h23m) documentary about the process — from early sketches to the final print — and I’ll share that once it’s live.
I’m now releasing the book independently here:

Also: I’ll be releasing a mini cinematic made in Blender this Sunday, showing parts of the world in motion for the first time.
Happy to answer anything about process, tools, or the full journey — from burnout to rejection, to finally launching. If you’re into long-form Blender projects or comic storytelling, I’d love to connect.
If you are interested please do support a project, it took 10 years of my life and any support means a lot.
